It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
I am starting to feel like a Christmas homemaker for the first time! I sewed stockings for the family, we have a wreath on the door, and a big real tree! My mom got us a Christmas tablecloth that I'm loving, too. Someday I'll have signs that say JOY and NOEL, but we're taking baby steps :).
Last week my Mom and I took Lincoln and my three nieces to see Santa at the mall. It was too cute - this is Christmas! We grew up doing cousin Santa pictures in Ohio, so I'm glad we're carrying on the tradition. Baby's first Christmas is finally here.
Thursday we're off to San Diego to spend Christmas with Aaron's family. We can't wait! Fun, love, and warm weather. It's going to be a great Christmas and I can't wait for Lincoln to meet everyone. I'm worried about the plane ride - I've tried five brands of pacifiers on this little one and no luck. Hopefully everyone on the flight will be filled with Christmas Spirit!

Having an infant son on Christmas is a very emotional thing for me. Jesus was a sweet newborn boy born in a stable. Mary went through labor, heard her baby cry for the first time, wrapped him up and held him tight. She cried looking at her sweet little bundle and kissed his forehead. Baby Jesus did little stretches, startled in his sleep, and held onto Joseph's finger. Jesus was a real newborn baby. He was also the Son of God and our king. He was born our Savior, destined to perform miracles. But for awhile, he was a newborn baby boy and Mary held him and cherished him just as literally as I hold Lincoln. That is a new realization for me this Christmas.

I'm so glad you are enjoying this first Christmas with your sweet baby boy :) I wish Brandon & Serene were going to be here with the rest of our family so they could meet Lincoln and have a visit with you guys. With any luck they'll be experiencing exactly what you're experiencing :)
