This past weekend Lincoln turned three months old! It has been an amazing three months getting to know this little guy. Being a mother is such a natural thing, I feel like I am remembering how to care for this little one rather than learning how. I love being able to be the one and only at something. I am Lincoln's one and only mother, and he sure rewards me in love.
At three months...
- Lincoln is set on sleeping on his stomach despite all my efforts. Even swaddled, he immediately rolls (more like flips) onto his stomach!
- He laughs really adorably.
- He weighs in at a little under twelve pounds - he is about the fiftieth percentile in all of his measurements.
- A long legged Tiger named Napoleon is his favorite toy.
- He naps from 11:30 am - 2:00 pm and from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm. He sleeps eleven hours at night but wakes up after eight hours to be fed before going back to sleep.
- He loves to hold onto Momma's hair, collar, and neck as if his life depended on it! Sometimes Momma's life depends on him letting go!
- His favorite songs are Wheels on the Bus, Here Comes the Sun, and anything by Justin Bieber. If I play music and he isn't paying attention then start playing Bieber, he starts smiling as soon as it starts!
- Car rides are his least favorite things on this earth.
- He can do a wonderful backbend and if he doesn't want to be put in the car seat, good luck! He is strong to wrestle with already! It just makes me laugh most of the time how eleven pounds can outsmart and outtwist me.
- Lincoln is awesome at photoshoots! If I pull out the camera he starts smiling. He's video camera shy, though.
- He loves to talk! He even talks to Napoleon when I am in the shower.
- Like most babies, he loves baths.
- Dad is his favorite person to spit up on. I swear he keeps an emergency stash for when Dad holds him!
