Sick Days

This past week little Lincoln got sick for the first time.  Breaks my heart!  Just look at that sad little cuddly!

Lincoln is usually happily active all day long.  He doesn't like to sit still - he has to be bouncing or wiggling or standing or doing SOMETHING.  It has been a big change to have a limp little baby sit on my lap.  He hasn't had a fever, just a very stuffy nose and a cough, so I haven't had to worry too much or take him to Convenient Care.  The thing Aaron and I can't get over is how HAPPY he is!  He is still smiling a lot and babbling more than usual.  I don't think this baby has a cranky bone in his body.  I can't imagine being a baby and being sick and not knowing what was going on or at least understanding that I would get better soon.  Makes me sheepish to say I've been sick, too, and have probably complained more than he has.  He has been sleeping less than usual and all I want to do is sleep the sick away!  I just hope we get better at the same time so I'm not a sick Momma trying to handle a healthy, active baby all day.  We went on a 50 minute walk yesterday - the weather was just too nice, I couldn't let it pass us by -  and we were both out for the rest of the afternoon!  

We did a grocery shopping trip to get ingredients for soup for dinner and I plan on having a relaxing rest of the day.  It isn't quite the same when you're the mom and you have to make your own soup when you're sick!  Four hours and counting until Aaron gets home to watch after his sick loves :).
